Beginning his football caree at the age of 6 Steve played his early junior football for Giants Grave Boys Club.
Moving to play for Neath Boys Club Steve excelled in his play and gained Boys Clubs of Wales Representative honours at both football and rugby.
Spotted by Swansea City he went on to play for their Cygnets squad before playing for the Welsh Schoolboys against Ireland and Scotland as well as appearing for the Swansea City Reserve team.
A member of the higly successfull Port Talbot Town youth team before moving to Briton Ferry Athletic where he played youth football as well as Welsh League and Reserve team football.
In his third season with the Grave he has become an integral part of the teams midfield wher he takes no prisoners.
